Stern file transfer means no case action

Cases have been shut down due to the transfer of files from the David J.
Stern Law Firm to the point that the lack of action is “malpractice,”
defense attorney Loretta Bangor said. Attorneys say hearings are being
canceled, they don’t know who is representing banks in their cases and
motions for Stern to withdraw aren’t being filed. Broward County Chief
Judge Victor Tobin issued a temporary administrative order showing how
Stern cases should proceed, with new evidentiary requirements. From Nov.
29 to last Friday, there were 110 foreclosure sales in Palm Beach
County in which no bid was made for the home by the bank, according to
the Palm Beach County Clerk’s office. [Palm
