AG probes two foreclosure servers

Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum is investigating two companies
that serve foreclosure notices, including one in South Florida, for
allegedly unseemly practices. The Gissen & Zawyer Process Service,
based in Miami, is being investigated for “numerous complaints,”
according to the attorney general’s office. The other firm being
investigated, Provest, is based in Tampa. Mark Hubbard, attorney for
Provest, said the company is part of a broad look by the state at the
process-serving sector, and was confident the vast majority of
notifications were being conducted appropriately. [Sun
