Funding vote set for Harbourside in Jupiter

A vote is scheduled for final approval on spending for the Harbourside hotel and restaurant project in Jupiter. The Community Redevelopment Agency will hear a proposal for up to $350,000 in spending for the project, which involves a $150 million plan. Funds sought include a proposal to pay the airfare to China for the developer to seek investors using the EB-5 program. The program gives foreign investors the chance to gain American citizenship in two years if they invest $500,000 or more and that investment creates 10 permanent America jobs. [Palm Beach Post]
