West Palm Beach’s historic El Cid neighborhood is not immune to the
foreclosure crisis. The area, which is known for Mediterranean Revival
and Mission architecture, has 185 historic properties among its 268
single-family and multi-unit homes. The $404,285 median home value in
2010 is down 44 percent from 2007’s peak of $720,209. Around 4.5
percent of the homes, or 12 total, are currently in foreclosure. [Palm
