Haitian presidential candidate loses three South Florida homes

Michel Martelly, a former singer running for president of Haiti, has
lost three South Florida homes to foreclosure. According to
Damian Merlo, a campaign spokesperson, the properties were investments
managed by one of Martelly’s advisors. The advisor, Merlo said, is a
licensed real estate agent. The properties included one in Palm Beach
County purchased in 2005 and two in Broward purchased in 2006 and 2007,
respectively. [Miami
