Publix breaks ground in Kendall

Publix has broken ground on a new location in West Kendall, according to
Gadinsky Real Estate, leasing agent for the Market Square Shopping
Center. The 28,800-square-foot store will be the largest tenant in the
center. It follows the opening of a 14,572-square-foot Walgreens at
Market Square last year. “We are very pleased that Publix has commenced
new construction,” said Pablo Cejas, director of PLC Investments, which
developed Market Square. According to Gadinsky, leases with national and
local tenants are currently in negotiations and expected to be signed
in the next 30 days. Market Square is located at SW 104th Street and
