The Art Deco-style Traymore Hotel in South Beach is for sale, with Jones
Lang LaSalle representing seller Steep Rock Capital, according to
GlobeSt. “This is one of those quintessential deco buildings on South
Beach, which in and of itself is relatively unique,” said Gregory
Rumpel, managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle. According to Rumpel,
the hotel came out of service in 2006 and 2007, was “torn apart,” and
was never put back together. “This is important for the City of Miami
Beach.” The 91-unit hotel was built in 1939, and has received Historic
Preservation Board Approval. [GlobeSt]
