IKEA putting solar panels at Florida stores

Swedish retailer IKEA is putting solar energy systems at three Florida
locations, including its Sunrise branch. The panels could reduce carbon
emissions at each store by at least 1,000 tons, with installation set to
be complete by the summer. “IKEA believes we can be a good business
while doing good business,” said Mike Ward, U.S. President for IKEA. The
Sunrise store could generate as much as 134 homes’ worth of
electricity. [Sun
