Subway, Balans Restaurant, Quantum Fitnesss, Liberty Dry Cleaners, a UPS Store and Thea Pizzeria and Cafe will take a combined 11,600 square feet on the ground floor of the already completed, 252,000-square-foot first phase of the project at 11951 NW 7th Avenue. Since opening in September, the first building has reached 63 percent occupancy. The complex will eventually be built out to five buildings totaling nearly 2 million square feet.

“The restaurants will be an important amenity to not only employees at the biotech park, but the entire medical center community,” said Kerry Newman, the Koniver Stern Group broker who represented landlord Wexford Science & Technology. “Plus, the retail component also increases the desirability of the Life Science Park to prospective businesses in the science and technology industries.” [GlobeSt]
