Hotelier Sam Nazarian to open Hyde nightclub at American Airlines Arena

Following in the footsteps of LIV at SunLife Stadium, Sam Nazarian is looking to open a 5,000-square-foot Hyde nightclub at the American Airlines Arena in downtown Miami, Bloomberg reported. Nazarian, who is already working on the SLS South Beach hotel, could open the new nightclub for the 2012-2013 season. “Arenas want to bring in the next level of experience, such as a nightclub component,” Nazarian said. “Old arenas like Madison Square Garden or Dodger Stadium are trying to reinvent themselves. People are looking for more than just hot dogs and pizza.” Nazarian has already opened a Hyde nightclub at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, where the Lakers and Clippers play. [Bloomberg]
