Coconut Grove’s Scotty’s Landing to be replaced by tiki-hut restaurant

Longtime Coconut Grove restaurant Scotty’s Landing will be replaced by a tiki-hut restaurant after a Miami city committee awarded the lease on the site to a new operator, the Miami Herald reported. David One, a limited liability company including Jimmy Flanigan of the Flanigan’s chain and Matt Johnson, the owner of Sushisamba and Midtown’s Sugarcane, will take over for former operator Scott Wessel’s 35-year lease, which expires this year. “We want to keep the same laid-back, Coconut Grove feel, only updated,” said Stephen Temes, an investor in the project.
