Palm Beach airport plans travel plaza

July 03, 2012 12:00PM

Palm Beach International Airport is proposing the construction of a travel plaza, the Sun Sentinel reported. The plaza would be aimed at people waiting for pick-ups at the airport. “We consider this an extension of the airport,” said Laura Beebe, deputy director of airport business affairs. “We’re very cognizant about our passengers receiving the services they’re looking for. We consider ourselves the stress-free airport.” PBIA is seeking developers to build and then lease the plaza, which would replace the airport’s current cellphone lot. “We’re looking for a more attractive and comfortable area.” [Sun Sentinel]
