Developer and onetime U.S. Senate candidate Jeff Greene has paid $6.6 million for the Comfort Inn at 1901 Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in West Palm Beach, according to the Palm Beach Daily News. Greene made the purchase through a limited partnership. The property, which is currently in foreclosure, is located near the former Palm Beach Mall. “We think it will drive a lot of business,” he said. Greene, whose hotel portfolio also includes the Omphoy in Palm Beach, obtained a $4.29 million mortgage on the property. [Palm Beach Daily News]
