Citizens Property Insurance announces job reductions, removal of “integrity office”

State-backed property insurer Citizens Property Insurance has announced several job reductions, including the decision to dissolve its integrity office, the Palm Beach Post reported. “With this change we are, in fact, ‘beefing up’ our internal controls by increasing resources in the forensics auditing area,” said Christine Ashburn, a spokesperson for Citizens. The move also includes four jobs, Ashburn said, as part of a restructuring of its “internal review efforts,” the Post reported. Sean Shaw, a former insurance advocate, said the decision jeopardized “the entire integrity of Citizens.” [Palm Beach Post]
