University of Phoenix to shutter two SF locations

The University of Phoenix will soon close its campuses in Plantation and Palm Beach Gardens, the South Florida Business Journal reported. The campuses are part of a national closing of 115 campuses across the United States by August of next year. University of Phoenix will keep its four other operating campuses, however. “We will continue to have the campus network where the demand for them exists and South Florida has pockets of that,” said Ryan Rauzon, a spokesperson for the university. “Those are classrooms that in our year-round analysis are popular with students.” [SFBJ]
