North Palm Beach-based hospitality investment firm Driftwood has purchased the Hyatt Regency in Tampa, according to HFF, which marketed the property on behalf of seller AREA Property Partners. The property, which is located at 211 North Tampa Street, will be converted to the Hilton brand. HFF’s team included Daniel Peek, Paul Hsu, Max Comess and Cyrus Vazifdar. “The Hyatt Regency Tampa is really a wonderful investment opportunity, and we were pleased to represent the AREA team in this important transaction,” Peek said. “The property was a key component of the redevelopment of downtown Tampa and now sits in the center a dynamic and expanding central business district.” — Alexander Britell
