Stephen Ross’ Miami Dolphins have sold the lucrative naming rights to their club level seats to BankUnited.
As of Thursday, the 10,000-seat stretch of premium seating with prime views of the field will be called the BankUnited Club Level, the first time the team has sold branding rights to that section of the arena.
The financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed to the Miami Herald.
“We are proud to partner with the Miami Dolphins yet again and to have our name associated with one of the premier sporting venues in the country,” John Kanas, BankUnited chairman, said in a statement to the Herald.
“Companies understand that sports is an important way to connect to customers,” added Jim Rushton, the Dolphins’ chief revenue officer. “It’s the next evolution in naming rights.” [Miami Herald] – Hiten Samtani
