The Nakash family-owned Hotel Victor, next door to the family’s newly acquired Versace mansion on South Beach’s Ocean Drive, has reopened after an $8 million floor-to-ceiling renovation.

Designers Yabu Pushelberg imposed a “beach house aesthetic” onto the Art Deco hotel, favoring various shades of beige, Hotel Chatter reported.

New guest amenities include communal MacBooks and beach cruiser bicycles, according to the hotels blog, which also reported that NFC Amenity Management will take over management of the 10,000-square-foot V spa.

After winning last week’s auction for the storied former home of slain fashion designer Gianni Versace with a $41.5 million bid, Joe Nakash, chairman of Jordache Enterprises, told reporters he would seek to license the Versace name to convert the palace into an eponymous hotel.

However, earlier this week, a real estate advisor to the Nakash family said they were also considering using the newly one property for retail, as was previously reported. [Hotel Chatter]Emily Schmall
