Sergio Pino sells Gables land to hospital for $7.4M

An affiliate of Miami developer Sergio Pino’s Century Homebuilders sold three Coral Gables commercial properties to nonprofit Baptist Health South Florida for $7.4 million.

Century Laguna LLC bid farewell to a 3,061-square-foot eatery at 4231 South Le Jeune Road, a 1,696-square-foot office at 4291 South Le Jeune Road and a vacant 6,125-square-foot plot of land, the South Florida Business Journal reported. The company had secured a $9.8 million mortgage with Doral-based U.S. Century Bank in Doral, where Pino previously served as director. His company owns other land in Coral Gables and elsewhere tied to the loan.

Baptist Health, based at 8900 North Kendall Drive, has picked up almost $104 million in acquisitions this year to date. [South Florida Business Journal] —  Mark Maurer
