Marquis’ hotel component changes hands

The entire 50-unit hotel component and a penthouse condominium at Marquis in Miami both recently sold.

Cyril Bijaoui, CEO of the Company Real Estate brokerage, handled the sale of the 61st-floor condo unit, which went for $717 per square foot.

Africa Israel Investments serves as developer of the 67-story mixed-use condo tower at 1100 Biscayne Boulevard. Holland & Knight agents Joe Dewey, Missy Turra and Mark Scott helped arrange the hotel sale, the price of which was undisclosed.

“That stretch of road is driving interest,” Bijaoui told the Daily Business Review. “What’s happening in this boulevard is that you have 1000 Museum, and they’re saying they’re selling at $1,000 per square foot, which is driving the buzz.” [Daily Business Review] — Mark Maurer
