It took nearly two hours of argument for the Coral Gables City Commission to tentatively allow a property owner to split his lot.
The agreement would split the 3-acre property, located at 6801 Granada Boulevard, between an 8,600-square-foot home and a canopy of trees, where another home could be built, according to the Miami Herald.
While large lot splits are fairly common in many cities, they are relatively rare in Coral Gables. And 10 neighbors attended the meeting to oppose the split. [Miami Herald] – Christopher Cameron
