Jeffrey Marcus traded up in Palm Beach, buying an oceanfront mansion from billionaire Bruce Halle for $23.2 million around the same time that he sold a home in the town for about $13 million.

Marcus acquired the 1075 North Ocean Boulevard residence in a transaction recorded on Tuesday, according to Palm Beach County records. Halle, the founder and chairman of Discount Tire, paid $22.5 million for the 13,000-square-foot home in October 2010. The six-bedroom, six-bathroom manse was completed in 2007.

No financing was recorded.

Marcus and his wife Nicola sold their 240 Clarke Avenue residence last week. They paid about $5.9 million for that property in April 2007 and built a four-bedroom home two years later. — Eric Kalis
