The multinational retail giant built a store on the corner of Northwest 79th Street and Northwest 32nd Avenue, near the Metrorail northside station, the South Florida Business Journal reported.

Wal-Mart bought the 23-acre site in 2012 for $12.7 million. A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that the store was still seeking county approval. [South Florida Business Journal]Katherine Kallergis
