The 18.8-acre site is a park-and-ride lot that FDOT wants to lease to a private developer. The development would retain at least 809 commuter parking spaces and other transportation facilities.

Tri-Rail service is available from West Palm Beach to Miami International Airport. The authority that runs the commuter train service is seeking funding to extend service to downtown Miami.
