Waterfront Highland Beach manse sells for $1,300 psf

An oceanfront mansion in Highland Beach has traded hands for just more than $9 million, a slight loss from its last sale in 2007. 

The Richard A. Gonzalez trust sold the 0.6-acre property at 4011 South Ocean Boulevard for $1,336 per square foot, based on under air square footage, Palm Beach County records show. The average sale price in 1.1-square-mile town is $211 per square foot, according to data from Realtor.com.

Highland Beach Ocean View LLC was the buyer. The LLC lists Robin Sax of Roxbury, Connecticut as a manager.

The Highland Beach home was built in 2001 and and renovated in 2006, according to the MLS. It was listed in 2013 for $13.7 million, taken off the market and re-listed in April for $10.5 million, or $1,495 per square foot.

Gonzalez paid $10.7 million for the property in 2007, records show. The 6,754-square-foot home also has an additional 8,838 square feet of space that is not under air conditioning. The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home features a pool, fountains and elevator.

Last year, NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon’s former oceanfront home, at 2445 South Ocean Boulevard in Highland Beach sold for $13.5 million.
