SFLC Building 5 LLC, an affiliate of Flagler Global Logistics, closed on a $13.5 million construction loan last week to build the new warehouse. Wells Fargo is the lender and Miller Construction Company is the general contractor.

The new facility is northwest of Miami International Airport with nearby access to the Palmetto Expressway and Dolphin Expressway. Amazon’s lease includes an option for up to two five-year extensions, records show.

Amazon signed its first lease in the county in 2014 for a 335,841-square-foot facility in Doral, at 1900 Northwest 132nd Place.

The developer of the new warehouse, Flagler Global Logistics, is under the Coral Gables-based Florida East Coast Industries umbrella. The industrial developer is also behind Flagler Station, which when completed will have nearly 14 million square feet of industrial space in northwestern Miami-Dade County.
