Opera Gallery hosted a grand opening in Miami’s Design District recently.

The art gallery moved from Bal Harbour Shops to a 1,500-square-foot space at 140 Northeast 39th Street. It features artwork by Pablo Picasso, Andy Warhol, Marc Chagall and Keith Haring, according to a press release.

Among the party’s guests were Romero Britto, Justin and Soledad Lowe, Barbara Hulanicki, and Ana Sophia Tarbay.

Opera Gallery is in 12 cities in the United States, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, with plans for two more galleries in New York and Aspen.

Development of the Design District has been spearheaded by Dacra. Last fall, Craig Robins said commercial rents are asking about $150 per square foot, blended, for three stories. By the end of 2017, the developer will have 120 stores open on its own property, and other property owners will have another 40. – Katherine Kallergis and Sean Stewart-Muniz
