Kilkee House, a legendary beachfront estate in the Bahamas, is listed for sale with an asking price of $19 million.

Richard Harris, the late actor whose film credits included Camelot, A Man Called Horse and Unforgiven, bought the estate in 1971 and named it Kilkee after his hometown in Ireland.

Harris turned the 11,000-square-foot residence into a lively hangout where rock stars and other celebrities would gather.

After Harris died, his children sold Kilkee House in 2005 to David Kosoy, who thoroughly restored the property. Kosoy later sold the property.

MMD Realty has the listing for the 10-bedroom mansion, located on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and accessble only by boat. It has 200 feet of frontage on a harbor and features a stone bridge and waterfall amid garden-covered landscaping.

The estate covers two-plus acres and comes with a private dock. It was built by an acclaimed real estate developer named Huntington Harris who wanted an exclusive winter-season gathering place for his friends. – Mike Seemuth

An earlier version of this article named David Kosoy as the current owner. He later sold the estate.
