Miami-based architecture firm Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolf & Associates Inc. (NBWW) will design the hotel component of an Orlando resort bearing the Margaritaville brand.
Boca Raton-based Encore Capital Management is the developer of the planned 300-acre MargaritaVillage development, located a short drive from Universal Studios Theme Park and Walt Disney World.
Encore also selected The McBride Group to design the hotel’s interiors and SCI to design its landscape.
Encore Capital, led by principals Art Falcone, Tony Avila and Bill Powers, expects to complete the MargaritaVillage project by early 2017.
MargaritaVillage will feature a six-acre water park plus paddle-boarding and kayaking equipment and a fishing school. The 170,000 square foot development also will encompass a spa, an ardade and a planeterium. The residential component of mixed-use MargaritaVillage includes a mix of apartments, vacation homes and luxury condos totaling 1,000 units.
NBWW will design a Margaritaville-branded hotel with 187 rooms. The hotel will have one Grab and Go outlet, three restaurants, four meeting rooms covering 4,480 square feet, and a 7,000-square-foot ballroom. The hotel property also will feature lagoon-style pools spanning 99 square feet.
