Owner ends effort to sell part of Mizner Park in Boca

General Growth Properties Inc., the owner of Mizner Park in Boca Raton, attempted to sell part of the mixed-use property but pulled it off the market last month amid disappointing bids, according to the Palm Beach Post. Mizner Park is a 27-year-old Boca landmark on Federal Highway north of the intersection with Palmetto Park Road.

Brokers told the newspaper that bids for the property disappointed General Growth because the company excluded apartments from the Mizner Park property marketed for sale, which was limited to office and retail space. Boca Raton Mayor Susan Haynie told the Post she knew Mizner Park was for sale, adding that ground leases for the mixed-use development will expire within five years.  [Palm Beach Post] — Mike Seemuth
