Inside Brickell Flatiron’s penthouse collection, the Ritz Miami Beach and more: renderings

A handful of developers just released new renderings of some South Florida projects that are in the works, including a sneak peek into Brickell Flatiron’s penthouse collection, a new and improved Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and The Ritz-Carlton Residences’s “ritzy” lobby in Miami Beach.

Brickell Flatiron, Miami

Ugo Colombo’s CMC Group released its penthouse collection for Brickell Flatiron, which is under construction.

The penthouse series, designed by Italian design architect Massimo Iosa Ghini measure up to nearly 6,500 square feet and are on floors 50 through 64 of the tower. Prices range from about $1 million to $2.5 million, with upper penthouse duplex and triplex residences priced from $6 million to $15.5 million, according to a press release.

The upper penthouses feature private terraces with rooftop pools and summer kitchens.

The 549-unit, 64-story tower planned for 1001 South Miami Avenue is about 60 percent presold and expected to be completed in 2019. The projected sellout is $300 million.

Luis Revuelta is designing the building.

Colombo purchased the site for $21 million in 2013.

Las Olas improvements, Fort Lauderdale

Skanska USA, which also delivered the Philip and Patricia Frost Museum of Science in Miami, was selected to build a new parking garage and complete improvements to the Las Olas corridor in Fort Lauderdale.

The 258,000-square-foot, 670-space parking garage, designed by architecture and urban design firm EDSA Inc., will feature a high-end stainless steel and aluminum wrap with LED lights, and an amenity deck with views of downtown Fort Lauderdale and the Intracoastal, according to a press release.

The firm has signed a contract for $49.3 million to renovate Las Olas Boulevard with the garage, a new canopy, public spaces and interactive water features. The Las Olas project will also feature a public beachfront park, landscaping and streetscape improvements along the boulevard.

It’s expected to be completed in August 2019, according to the release.

The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Miami Beach

Lionheart Capital just released a sneak peek of its east end lobby, complete with a $500,000 staircase, planned for its 7.5-acre luxury condo project at 4701 Meridian Avenue in Miami Beach.

Italian architect Piero Lissoni is behind the designs. The property, which will have 111 condo residences and 15 single-family villas, will also give a nod to the Seminole Tribe of Florida by decorating the space with a “larger-than-life” canoe artifact in the attached private library.

Douglas Elliman is handling sales of the units, ranging in price from $2 million to more than $40 million, the latter of which is for an eight-bedroom penthouse.

The Ritz development will feature gardens, pools and 36 private boat slips. Shared amenities will include a residential art studio, a rooftop pool deck with private cabanas and a gourmet restaurant.

It’s being built on the site of the former Miami Heart Institute.
