Colombia held the No. 1 spot for countries looking for South Florida homes, according to the Miami Association of Realtors.

Buyers from Colombia represented more than 10 percent of foreign web searches for residential real estate in Miami in July, marking the fifth consecutive month.  Brazil, meanwhile, fell to sixth place with only 5.3 percent of web searches.

Last year, Colombian and Brazilian homebuyers made the third-most international purchases in South Florida with a 10 percent share, according to the report.

The Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach region was the second most popular U.S. metro for international buyers in July. Los Angeles took the crown from South Florida in June. After L.A. and South Florida, Bellingham, Washington; New York-Newark-Jersey City; and the Orlando area took the next top spots.
