Murano at Portofino unit 1401

A Venezuelan pharmaceutical executive sold his South Beach condo to a pet e-commerce millionaire, property records show.

Hector Valentiner’s 1986 Mets LLC sold unit 1401 at Murano at Portofino, 1000 South Pointe Drive, to Alex Zhardanovsky for $5 million, or nearly $1,500 per square foot. Valentiner is president of Zuoz Pharma, a pharmaceutical company based in Venezuela.

Alex Zhardanovsky co-founded Petflow, an online company that sells pet food treats and supplies, and LittleThings.com, a lifestyle media company geared toward women. In 2013, he said he expected to make nearly $50 million off of Petflow, according to Yahoo Finance.

Zhardanovsky’s new unit at Murano spans 3,365 square feet with three bedrooms, floor-to-ceiling glass and views of the bay, Fisher Island, Miami and Miami Beach, according to the listing. Clemente Sanchez of South Pointe Drive Realty represented the seller, and Miami Red Box Realty represented the buyer, according to Realtor.com.

It hit the market more than a year ago for $5.9 million. It last sold for $3 million in 2005.

Vitamin mogul Andrew Lessman also owns a unit at Murano.
