An entity tied to residential developer Ansca Homes just sold about 25 acres of vacant land west of Lake Worth for $9 million, property records show.

The 10-parcel deal breaks down to about $355,000 per acre. Records show the Boynton Beach-based home builder sold the property to Lynx Zuckerman at Fort Myers LLC, led by Michael McCarty.

The property is on the northeast corner of Lyons Road and Hypoluxo Road, and surrounds a Publix-anchored shopping center at 8899 Hypoluxo Road.

Previous sale information suggests Ansca Homes paid more than $2 million for the property in 2008, though some sale information for certain parcels was not available in property records. Principals at Ansca Homes were not immediately available to comment.

Ansca Homes is led by Charles Scardina, who late last year settled a legal battle with business partner Ramsey Akel, over the direction of the company. Since then, Akel has opened his own firm, Akel Homes, with his son Alex. The father-son duo recently bought a nearby 12-acre site on the southeast corner of Hypoluxo Road and Lyons Road.

Ansca Homes has built residential communities throughout South Florida, including Villagio Reserve in Delray Beach and Palazzo Casa Brera in Lake Worth.
