Closing prices in the top 10 deals ranged from $980k to $6.4M

Condo sales in Miami-Dade increased last week.

The county recorded 173 closings for a total of $69 million, up from the previous week’s $51 million sales volume for 127 units. Condos last week sold for an average price of about $400,000 or $313 per square foot.

The priciest sale was at the Continuum South Beach. David Letterman’s former bandleader Paul Shaffer sold unit 1706 for $6.4 million, or just under $2,000 per square foot. Timothy Singer and Tim Powers represented the seller and Theresa Glorioso brought the buyer.

The second most-expensive sale was the $4.1 million sale of a penthouse at Biscayne Beach in Edgewater. Karen Elmir and Alicia Cervera Lamadrid represented the buyer and seller. The unit was listed for 132 days before it sold for $961 per square foot.
