A three-story beach house just north of Daytona Beach, once offered for $2.2 million, will be sold to the highest bidder at auction today.

Miami-based Platinum Luxury Auctions will conduct the on-site auction at 1 p.m. today without reserve, meaning the 4,800-square-foot house will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of the price.

The house is in Flagler Beach, a small oceanfront town between Daytona Beach and St. Augustine.

The three-story house at 2991 North Ocean Boulevard has five bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms, and it comes equipped with an elevator, a private boardwalk and several decks on the ocean-side of the property.

Structural integrity was a priority in the 2008 construction of the house, which features a carefully engineered piling system, a whole-house water filtration system, recently replaced air conditioning units, and windows and doors with reinforced resistance to hurricanes. – Mike Seemuth
