A South Florida development firm has started clearing a 10-acre site for construction of a $30 million commercial complex with two hotels in Palm Bay.

Hollywood-based AD1 Global Hospitality plans to build a 106-room Hyatt Place hotel and an 87-room Home2 Suites by Hilton. Site work started in June.

By March 2020, AD1 hopes to open the hotels together with two restaurants and three retail buildings as a complex called Palm Bay Executive Park.

Daniel Berman, president and chief executive officer of AD1 Global Hospitality, said in a press release that “we feel that this area of Florida has great investment potential.”

Adam Broadway, president and chief executive officer of Certified General Contractors, told Florida Today that construction of both hotels will begin “going vertical” by year-end.

The development site is next to a Bass Pro Shops store and a Harley-Davidson dealership along an exit ramp from Interstate 95 to Palm Bay Road Northeast.

City officials who reviewed the development plan have said Palm Bay lacks an adequate supply of hotel rooms and meeting space.  [Florida Today]Mike Seemuth
