USL Cargo Services occupies distribution center in Weston

Logistics company USL Cargo Services occupied an entire 232,000-square-foot warehouse in Weston, marking one of the largest lease deals in Broward County so far this year.

The distribution center at 3245 Meridian Parkway was previously vacant. It takes up about 11 acres within the Weston Meridian Business Campus, near I-75.

USL Cargo Services handles air and sea freight and provides storage for dry and refrigerated cargo. It was launched in 2015 when it partnered up with Hong Kong-based Cargo Services Far East Limited.

The landlord Clarion Partners was represented by CBRE’s Tom O’Loughlin and Larry Genet. The tenant was represented by Luis Marquez with Casal Group.

Previously, the largest lease deal in Broward this year was Postal Center International’s 224,650-square-foot lease at 2965 West Corporate Lakes Boulevard. The company is in the print, mail and marketing business.

Ice River Springs, others lease space at Miami Industrial Logistics Center (MILC)

Three companies signed leases at Miami Industrial Logistics Center, a three-building warehouse and distribution center in northwest Miami-Dade County that totals nearly 677,000 square feet.

Ice River, a bottled water company producing private-label brands, including “Ice River Green,” expanded its 145,000-square-foot lease by 50,000 square feet at 10701 Northwest 140 Street. The company was represented by Newmark Grubb Knight Frank.

Supply chain logistics company Pegasus Logistics Group inked a 20,750-square-foot lease at 15002 Northwest 107 Avenue. Casal Group represented the tenant. And Alumina Distribution Center leased 21,552 square feet at 15002 Northwest 107 Avenue, and was represented by Macken Realty.

State Street Realty Vice President Frank Trelles and Brian Cabielles represented the landlord, Duke Realty, which paid nearly $80 million for the buildings in April. Bridge Development Partners developed and sold the industrial park.

Finlay Medical inks 16k sf lease at Miami International Merchandise MART

Finlay Medical & Wellness Center just inked a 16,000-square-foot lease for its new satellite office at the recently renovated Miami International Merchandise MART at 777 Northwest 72nd Avenue.

The seven-year lease was handled by Lisa Lajes-Rosen of EWM Realty, who represents the landlord, Roudan Global Investments. Finlay Medical Center offers healthcare services to patients, including family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatrics.

The shopping center recently underwent a $5 million renovation, which included revamping storefronts and upgrades to the common areas. Built in 1976, the center includes 465 wholesale, retail, and office spaces, along with 300,000 square feet of showroom and retail space spread throughout three floors.
