The chairman of the media company FT Media Holdings just sold his condo at One Thousand Ocean in Boca Raton for $5.48 million.

Mason Slaine sold the 5,424-square-foot unit at the 1000 South Ocean Boulevard for $1,009 per square foot to Diane Portnoy, according to Douglas Elliman.

Portnoy is the CEO and founder of the Immigrant Learning Center, which provides free English classes to immigrant and refugee adults in the Greater Boston area.

FT Media Holdings, headquartered in Greensboro, North Carolina, owns Furniture Today Media Group. Slaine is also a director and investor in RS Energy Holdings, Reorg Research, Efront Holdings and Certara LLC, according to his LinkedIn page.

The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half bathroom condo was initially listed for $6.1 million. Senada Adzem of Douglas Elliman Real Estate was the listing agent for the sale.

In 2016, Slaine bought a five-bedroom home at 850 Lake Drive in Boca Raton from Russian-born Canadian billionaire Alex Shnaider for $11.5 million, property records show.

The Boca Raton mansion spans nearly 11,000 square feet on the Intracoastal. It includes a pool, elevator, summer kitchen and 120 feet of waterfront with multi-yacht dockage.

One Thousand Ocean in Boca Raton is a seven-story building with 52 one- and two-story units. It was developed by LXR Luxury Resorts & Hotel and completed in 2010.
