The Double Eagle Distributing facility in Deerfield Beach sold for $11 million

Drinks are in order. The Double Eagle Distributing facility in Deerfield Beach sold for $11 million.

St. Louis, Missouri-based Major Brands purchased the 139,476-square-foot building at 50 Lock Road for $78 per square foot, records show. Double Eagle Distributing sold the property.

The facility sits on a 8.3-acre lot right off of South Military Trail and Hillsboro Boulevard.

The building was constructed in 1983. It last sold for $4.2 million in 2015, records show.

The buyer, Major Brands, sells and distributes alcohol to grocery stores, restaurants and other retail outlets throughout Missouri, according to its website. The company has over 600 employees.

Double Eagle Distributing was formed in 1984 and distributes Anheuser-Busch alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages in parts of Broward and Palm Beach counties.

Deerfield Beach is increasingly being targeted by commercial and industrial investors.

In February, Brookfield Property Partners bought four commercial properties at Deerfield Beach’s Quorum Business Center for $36.3 million.
In late 2018, Adler Real Estate Partners bought a corporate park at 348-398 and 402-636 Southwest 12th Avenue in Deerfield Beach for $35.1 million.
