Fort Lauderdale office tower sells for $18M

The property’s tenants include the Florida State Attorney’s office and Legacy Bank of Florida

An office tower next to the courthouse in Fort Lauderdale sold for $18.2 million.

A joint venture between Miami-based Highline Real Estate Capital and North Miami Beach-based Sefira Capital sold the 66,426-square-foot office building called Courthouse Place, at 12 Southeast 7th Street, for $274 per square foot. New Haven, Connecticut-based ABCD Courthouse Place, LLC, led by Menachem Gurevitch, bought the property.

The building, on a 0.6-acre property, is one block away from the Broward County Judicial Complex.

The property was last purchased in 2017 for $13.8 million, records show.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Scott O’Donnell, Greg Miller, Dominic Montazemi and Miguel Alcivar represented the seller in the deal, according to a press release.

Tenants at the building include the Florida State Attorney’s office, Legacy Bank of Florida and the Law Firm of Gary M. Singer.

The property is in Fort Lauderdale’s central business district which has 5,379 new residential units, 560 hotel rooms and 174,878-square-feet of retail under construction, with more in the development pipeline either approved or in review, according to the release.
