Former Major League Baseball All-Star Matt Holliday sold his waterfront Jupiter estate for $8.5 million.

Holliday sold his 9,086-square-foot waterfront estate at 5341 Pennock Point Road for $935 per square foot, according to a press release. The undisclosed buyer is a Northeast-based buyer who is a CEO of a publicly traded company. The sale has not yet hit records.

Billy Nash, founder of Nash Luxury at Illustrated Properties, represented the buyer in the sale. Waterfront Properties & Club Communities listed the property on behalf of Holliday.

Pennock Point has attracted other famous athletes as well, including Serena Williams and golfers Brooks Koepka and Rickie Fowler. Holliday’s estate is between Williams’ and Koepka’s properties. Golfer Phil Mickelson also announced plans to relocate to the neighborhood earlier this year.

Holliday purchased the property for $7 million in 2016, records show.

The estate was originally listed for $11 million in January 2019.

Holliday was a seven-time All-Star during his 15-year MLB career. The left fielder played for the Colorado Rockies, St. Louis Cardinals, Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees. He won the batting title in 2007 with the Rockies. He also won a World Series with the Cardinals in 2011.

The custom home was built in 2013 and has seven bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The Tuscan-inspired estate features a chef’s kitchen, a wine cellar, a home theater, an elevator, and an eight-car garage.

It also features a two-bedroom, two-bathroom guest house, along with a pool and spa, cabana, fire pit, covered lanai and outdoor kitchen.

Jupiter, at the northern edge of Palm Beach County, is home to some high-end residential developments, including Bear’s Club community, founded by golfer Jack Nicklaus. It has 80 homes, villas and cottages.
