UPDATED, March 23, 3 p.m.: A penthouse at One Thousand Museum closed for $13.8 million on Friday, marking the first resale at the Zaha Hadid-designed tower in Miami.

Unit 5701 sold amid the coronavirus pandemic. The developer had sold the five-bedroom, 9,910-square-foot condo for $12.76 million in July, meaning it just traded for about $1 million more, excluding closing costs and commissions.

Property records show ZH Holdings Group LLC sold the One Thousand Museum unit to 5701 Biscayne LLC. Both companies are controlled by attorneys.

The $13.8 million closing breaks down to $1,393 per square foot.

Oren Alexander of Douglas Elliman represented the seller, while Dina Goldentayer of Elliman brought the buyer. Alexander and Goldentayer declined to identify the buyer or seller.

The full-floor unit features 12-foot ceilings, a main terrace, chef’s kitchen, master suite with a midnight kitchen, exterior terraces and Hadid-designed door handles.

Developers Louis Birdman, Gilberto Bomeny, Gregg Covin, Kevin Venger and Todd Michael Glaser completed the 62-story, 84-unit tower at 1000 Biscayne Boulevard last year. The building features a rooftop helipad; a wellness center with a gym and yoga facilities, relaxation pods and spa rooms; a sky lounge; bank vault; multimedia theater; off-site beach club and a juice bar.

Harvey Daniels of One Sotheby’s International Realty is the sales director.

Buyers have included Newell Brands CEO Ravichandra Saligram, Italian investor Francesco Rovati, thoracic surgeon Dr. Moses Degraft-Johnson, and W. Bruce Lunsford, a Kentucky nursing home magnate and former U.S. Senate candidate.

An earlier version of this story mentioned Isaac Lustgarten as a co-listing agent, but he has since been removed from the MLS listing.
