Interior designer and developer Hilary Musser paid $5 million for a waterfront property in West Palm Beach.

Aaron W. Ford, a private equity investor, sold the property 3208 Washington Road to Musser, records show.

Ford sold it less than a year after buying it in July 2019 for $3.35 million. He filed a notice of commencement to demolish the five-bedroom, 3,508-square-foot house on the property in November, but it’s unclear if the house, built in 1956, has been knocked down.

It’s one of eight waterfront properties in the historic Prospect Park neighborhood, according to a listing from early last year. Musser and her husband, Dale Kahle, a senior vice president at BB&T, own the waterfront house next door at 3200 Washington Road, records show.

The 0.65-acre property includes about 100 feet of direct water frontage, a dock and boat lift. The listing from before Ford’s purchase describes it as a “a prime candidate for a renovation or for a brand new custom home.”

Musser, owner of Musser Ventures and Hilary Musser Interior Design, is a prominent interior designer who has also managed private equity investments, according to her LinkedIn. She’s developed more than $100 million worth of high-end homes.

The West Palm lot overlooks the town of Palm Beach.

Prospect Park is south of The Bristol, the first new luxury condo building built in West Palm Beach in the past decade, where sales have exceeded $5 million.

In May, Michigan manufacturing executive David Brule paid $5.6 million for a unit at the Bristol.
