Baseball player Yadier Molina sells Jupiter mansion for $8M
Molina and his wife sold the house for $800K more than they paid in 2012
St. Louis Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina sold his riverfront Jupiter estate for $8 million.
Records show Molina and his wife, Wanda, sold the 10,433-square-foot mansion at 6431 River Pointe Way to Krypton LLC, managed by Larry D. Bailey.
Molina has been with the Cardinals since he was drafted by the baseball team in 2000. The nine-time All-Star bought the eight-bedroom, seven-and-a-half-bathroom home in 2012 for $7.2 million, according to property records.
Molina was represented by Hector Baez with Real Estate Investments of SE Florida LLC and the buyer was represented by Compass agent John Clairmont.
The home hit the market in April 2018 for $13.9 million. Since then, it’s seen a handful of price reductions, down to $9.9 million earlier this month.
The more than 4-acre property, developed in 2007, has nearly 300 feet of waterfront, a guest house, a baseball diamond, tennis and basketball court, a pool and a three-car garage, according to the listing.
Molina isn’t the only athlete to recently make moves in South Florida. In Jupiter, Washington Nationals pitcher Max Scherzer bought a mansion in July for $9.8 million, and amateur golfer Ina Kim-Schaad paid $5.9 million for a home in September.
Baseball Manny Machado recently bought a Coral Gables mansion for $7.2 million.
