Top Engel & Völkers producer Lourdes Alatriste left the brokerage to join Douglas Elliman, The Real Deal has learned.

Alatriste had been with Engel & Völkers for nearly a decade in all. She left in 2015 for One Sotheby’s International Realty and returned in 2017.

“It wasn’t an easy decision,” she said of her latest move. “But I think it was time, and the market has shifted.”

Alatriste said she is taking with her more than $200 million in listings inventory. She closed more than $130 million in 2019. That includes the nearly $20 million listing of Cher’s former Miami Beach home at 54 La Gorce Drive; a $13.9 million listing in Islamorada; and a nearly $22 million listing of a penthouse at Oceana.

Alatriste will work out of Elliman’s Coral Gables office at 1515 Sunset Drive. Her team, Mariana Martinez, head of operations for Alatriste, and Renier Casanova are joining the firm with her. Alatrist said Elliman’s “national and international presence was huge” and cited Knight Frank’s alliance with the brokerage.

Magnus Jennemyr, license partner of Engel & Völkers Miami Coconut Grove, wished Alatriste well.

“Like many in the real estate industry, I respect Lourdes greatly,” Jennemyr said in a statement. “My team of luxury real estate experts and I will continue to achieve great things. We are excited for new opportunities to come — always keeping the door open for those who wish to come back.”

Alatriste’s clients have included Chris Bosh and Alonzo Mourning, Leah and Roy Black, and Rick de la Croix, owner of Hublot watches.

In a statement, Jay Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman Florida, complimented Alatriste’s market knowledge and “powerful negotiating skills,” as well as her professionalism.
