James “Jimmy” Finkelstein, owner of the political newspaper The Hill, and his wife paid $5.6 million for a condo in West Palm Beach.

Finkelstein and Pamela Gross bought unit 701 at 622 North Flagler Drive. The seller is Joseph W. McCarthy, as trustee of the Joseph W. and Gloria A. McCarthy Family Trust, records show.

Finkelstein is chairman of The Hill and co-chairman and CEO of News Communications. Gross is a former CNN producer and adviser to Melania Trump, according to Politico.

McCarthy is the former president of Carrollton, Texas-based Motel 6. He was also CEO of the U.S. branch of Accor Corporation.

He and his late wife, Gloria, bought the condo for $3 million in 2012, records show. Joseph McCarthy changed ownership to the trust in 2017. Gloria McCarthy died in 2018.

The 5,224-square-foot unit was listed in 2019 for $5.3 million. The most recent asking price was $5.5 million in January.

Lore Smith of Sotheby’s International Realty represented the seller, and Mary Newton of Douglas Elliman represented the buyer.

The four-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom condo overlooks the Intracoastal Waterway, according to the listing.

Among other recent sales in West Palm Beach, an auto insurance chief bought a mansion for $10.2 million, a vice president of an investment firm bought a waterfront home for $6.8 million, and a unit at The Bristol sold for $16.5 million.
