Movers & Shakers: Newmark lodging group co-head moves to Miami

Hires at Colliers, Compass, CP Group and others

Newmark Group’s expansion of its lodging capital markets group included the relocation of Lawrence Wolfe to Miami. Wolfe is one of four co-heads of the group. He moved from New York City, marking another example of companies beefing up their presence in South Florida. The Newmark expansion includes new locations in California and Texas.

Pebb Enterprises hired William Griffiths as controller, based in the firm’s Boca Raton office. He spent most of his career with CBRE in Grand Rapids, Michigan. At Pebb, he will be responsible for managing financials and timelines for construction and development, lease administration and more.

CP Group hired Darren Postel as the company’s new chief operating officer. Postel will report to CP Group partners Angelo Bianco and Chris Eachus. He was previously executive director for New York-based Halcyon Capital Advisory, where he oversaw a $1.5 billion commercial and residential real estate portfolio in North America, Asia and Europe.

Jennifer Schillace, a top producer in the Palm Beach market, joined the Keyes Company as district sales manager, overseeing the more than 80-agent office at 13920 Wellington Trace. She was previously with BEX Realty in Boca Raton.

Steve Miskew is now CEO and principal of Southeast Centers, taking over from co-founder and President Marc Boucher. Boucher remains as chairman and principal of the Boca Raton-based real estate asset management and development services firm. Southeast Centers focuses on grocery-anchored shopping centers. Miskew joined in 2016.

RKW Residential brought on Gerardo Gato as executive vice president of finance. Gato is based in Miami and was previously executive vice president and chief financial officer of Monument Capital Management, which is part of Alex Rodriguez’s A-Rod Corp.

Jake Stauber joined Colliers in South Florida as a financial analyst and associate broker in Boca Raton. He was previously a field research analyst with CBRE.

Savills tapped Stephanie Polk to become corporate managing director. Polk was senior director of real estate for Office Depot from 2007 to 2021. Polk, based in Miami, oversaw a team of real estate managers and directors in her region and the sale and sale/leaseback of closed store properties, as well as overseeing the negotiation of over 17 million square feet of leases, and more.

Current Real Estate Advisors hired Nico Vargas as vice president of investment sales, and Alec Kirschner as director of retail and office leasing. Kirschner previously was a managing director at SquareFoot in New York City.

Lizzie Padro and her team joined Compass. She closed $24 million in sales volume last year. Padro spent 18 years with Coldwell Banker.

The Fine Living Group at eXp brought on Sabrina McClover. The team has more than 40 agents in nine states, including Florida, Maryland and Virginia.

Seth Denison is now principal at Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services. Denison is focused on capital markets, structured finance, and debt and equity placement throughout the United States. Denison was previously senior managing director of Hart Advisors.

Anthony Pavli is now managing partner of RIPCO Real Estate in Florida. The New York-based retail brokerage has been expanding in Florida with hires in Miami and Tampa.

Jennifer Houston was hired as vice president and head of leasing at Miami-based Tricera Capital. Houston previously was director of leasing for Edens in Florida. She is based out of Tricera’s Brickell office.

Daniel Gardner joined Katz & Associates as an associate, working on tenant and landlord representation. He was previously with Weingarten Realty.
