Harvey Daniels, who led sales of the Zaha Hadid-designed One Thousand Museum in Miami, was tapped as the sales director for the Ritz-Carlton Residences development in Pompano Beach.

Daniels left One Sotheby’s International Realty last year after 12 years and is now with Fortune International Group. Fortune is co-developing the Ritz-Carlton project along with Ricardo Dunin’s Oak Capital.

The announcement comes a month after Fortune and Oak Capital launched sales of the planned Ritz-Carlton towers, and after the near sellout of One Thousand Museum, the 84-unit, 62-story downtown Miami skyscraper that was completed in 2019. Daniels has been involved in sales totaling more than $2 billion over his 25-year real estate career, according to a press release.

The Pompano Beach development will have 205 luxury condos across two buildings: a 32-story beachfront tower with 117 units, and another 14-story building on the Intracoastal Waterway with 88 units. The development will have a private marina, oceanfront beach club, sports courts and pool decks. Prices start at $1 million in the marina building and at about $3.5 million in the oceanfront building.

The sales launch follows the sellout of Related Group’s Solemar development, also in Pompano.

Daniels had been with Miami-based One Sotheby’s, led by Mayi and Daniel de la Vega, from 2009 until April of last year. He then jumped to OKO Real Estate, OKO Group’s sales and marketing arm, for about a month until he landed at Fortune in May. He was vice president of development at One Sotheby’s.

Daniel de la Vega, president of One Sotheby’s, said in a statement that Daniels “has been a great partner for our new development team and we wish him nothing but the best.”

Daniels, who said he loved working with One Sotheby’s, said the opportunity presented itself to work on the Ritz project in Pompano, near his home in Fort Lauderdale.

Daniels added that he is “honored to be working under Edgardo Defortuna’s direction.”

As developers continue to launch sales of luxury condo projects across South Florida, agents are increasingly moving around, as well.

One Sotheby’s recently added to its new development sales division with the addition of the Catena Group, which includes Catalina Martinez, Ena Espino and Damian Silvi. They left Fortune after more than a decade and are working on sales of the St. Regis Residences, Miami Related Group and Integra Investments are developing the two-tower, 354-unit project on Brickell Avenue in Miami.

Also in January, the Cofresi Group, led by Eduardo and Luciene Cofresi, jumped to Fortune from Dezer Development, after more than decade working on projects that included the Residences by Armani/Casa and Porsche Design Tower. At Fortune, they are working on sales of Related’s Baccarat Residences Miami.
