Trump International Hotel & Tower buyers have six weeks to close

The clock is ticking on the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Fort
Lauderdale, a 298-unit condo hotel. Developer SB Hotel Associates has
warned buyers they have six weeks to close on their units, and that
unless 50 percent of them do, the hotel might not open. If owners don’t
occupy their units, the hotel can’t open under state laws. It’s tough
timing for the 24-story tower, which sells studios, one- and
two-bedroom units from $500,000 to more than $3 million. Most units
were sold in 2005 and 2006, at the peak of the condo boom. [Sun-Sentinel] and [Miami Herald]
